Hamlet were successful in this tender and awarded the contract to carry out the works on the 1st floor of the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The contract covered internal refurbishment and alterations of various areas in St Andrew and St Patrick Wards, comprising all necessary building, mechanical and electrical works.

To provide improved and compliant facilities, we carried out alterations, general refurbishment, and update of finishes, including: 

• Demolition and alterations to achieve the required layouts. 
• New floor coverings. 
• Impervious PVC wall cladding. 
• Redecoration. 
• New cabinets to Clean Utility Rooms. 
• Sliding/Folding partition to the Day Room. 
• Ducted ventilation alterations.  
• Relocation of existing fire detection systems. 
• Installation of new Nurse Call system 
• Installation of new light fittings and switch arrangement. 
• Installation of new power to suit room layouts/requirements. 
• Installation of new sanitaryware. 
• Alterations to domestic water services to connect with existing hospital infrastructure pipework.
