The Project:

After winning the tender, Hamlet were selected to carry out the internal office fit out on the 2nd floor of Carew House – a multi-occupancy office building in Wallington, Surrey. The result was providing office and meeting room spaces for the Royal Marsden Hospital Community Headquarters, covering all the necessary building, mechanical and electrical works throughout. 

The works concentrated on the fit out of the existing open plan office space, including: 

  • Installation of new demountable office partitions. 
  • Installation of new folding partition to meeting room area. 
  • Formation of new ‘break out’ space. 
  • Decoration to new partitions. 
  • Installation of additional air conditioning units to the existing system to suit the new layout. 
  • Installation of new wiring containment including power poles & dado trunking. 
  • Alterations to the existing fire detection systems to suit the new layout. 
  • Installation of new and alterations to existing light fittings, and manual and automatic controls arrangements to suit the new layout. 
  • Installation of new (and alterations to existing) emergency light fittings. 
  • Installation of new power to suit desk and office layouts and requirements. 
  • Installation of new mechanical services small power to additional indoor VRF units. 
  • Installation of new data & telephone infrastructure. 
  • Installation of new audio-visual infrastructure. 
  • Installation of new video door entry and access control system.
